Sue Pigg

Sue "Susie" Pigg, 73, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2016.

Funeral service will be held 2 pm on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 in the Minton Memorial Chapel with Rev. Larry Brock officiating. Burial will follow in Sanford Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Duece Pigg, Mitch Monden, Josh Monden, Ethan Marchman, Christian Cramer, Jason Dodson, and Scott Kindy. Honorary pallbearers will be Gavin and Tayson Monden. In lieu of flowers her memory may be honored with a gift to Caprock Nursing Center or a charity of choice.

Susie was born November 23, 1942 in Okemah, Oklahoma to Ruby (Sizemore) and Normal Capps. She married Lorin Pigg on December 22, 1962 in Pampa, Texas. Susie loved to sing and listen to southern gospel music. She also enjoyed making jewelry, painting and crocheting. Nothing brought more joy to her than her family who affectionately call her Meme.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Guy Wayne Pigg; sister, Norma Hefner; and brother, Bobby Capps.

Survivors include her daughters, Faye "Sissie" Palmeter of Bugbee Shores, Rhenea Dawkins of Amarillo, Deanna Marchman and husband, Randy of Borger, Rachell Howell of Amarillo; eleven grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; brothers, Jimmy Capps and wife Darlene of Oklahoma, Donnie Capps and wife Janie of Oklahoma, Rodney McDowell and wife Gina of Gruver; brother-in-law, Joe Hefner of Borger; sister-in-law, Sue Capps of Corsicana, Texas; and a host of extended family.
