Summer Casteel

Summer Nicole Casteel, 40 of Amarillo went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 17, 2022, in Amarillo. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday, February 26, 2022, at Grace Church in Borger. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. There will be a visitation at the funeral home on Friday, February 25, 2022, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Summer was born July 10, 1981, in Borger to Wanda King Salinas. She was born with a free spirit ready to take on the world. She graduated from Borger High School in 1999. Graduated from Amarillo College in 2017 with a business Associates Degree. She was a small business owner of Fierce Boutique.  She married Christopher Casteel January 10, 2022, in Amarillo. She loved dancing, music and crafting.

Preceding her in death are her loving grandparents Daniel and Myrtle King.

She leaves to celebrate her life her husband of 12 years, Christopher Casteel of Amarillo; mother Wanda King Salinas of Borger; father Dino Salinas of Crosbyton; four sons, Emari King of Dallas, Daveon King of Borger, Ash Casteel and Axton Casteel both of Amarillo; daughter Mischa Casteel of Amarillo; brothers that loved her fiercely Jaden Salinas, Jarred Salinas and Jamiah all of Borger; nieces she adored Ariana Taylor and Daleyza Salinas both of Borger;  a host of cousins she loved and adored; sister in love Cherisa Pennon of Amarillo.

Pallbearers will be Steven Burse, Reggie Burse, Xaviar Cunningham, Eron Haynes, Joshua Cunningham and Ray Burse. Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Powell and Travis Williams.
