Terry "Cowboy" L. Crook, 64, passed away Thursday, August 2, 2018.
Cowboy will lie in state in Fritch from 9-8 pm Friday; the family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Friday. A celebration of his life will be held at 11 am on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at First Southern Baptist Church in Fritch under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch. In lieu of flowers his memory may be honored with a gift to Snack Pack for Kids, 701 Park Place Avenue, Amarillo, Texas 79101.
Terry was born September 22, 1953 in Borger to Jack Crook and Earlene Atchley Crook. Cowboy married Genella Hilton Mullens on January 3, 2004. He was a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Fritch. Cowboy was a conductor for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad. He enjoyed NASCAR, hunting and fishing. Nothing brought more joy to his life than the Texas Longhorns.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Wade Crook; grandson, Kelby Eddleman; and brother-in-law, Roger Wilson.
Survivors include his wife, Genella of Fritch; son, Jeremy Lee Crook and wife Amanda of White Deer; daughter, Holly Lynn Campbell and husband Michael of Spearman; step-sons, Chad Mullens and wife Elaine of Wichita, Kansas, Craig Mullens and wife Leslie of Fritch; grandchildren, Jack Campbell, Cooper Campbell, Makenzie Crook, Caiden Crook, Bodhi Crook, Marleigh Crook, Jace Mullens, Ellie Mullens, Zane Mullens, Nate Mullens, Zoey Mullens; brother, Jackie Crook of Fritch; sisters, Annette Wilson of Amarillo, Karen McWilliams and husband Steve of Amarillo; mother-in-law, Chloella Hilton of Fritch; and brother-in-law, Ronnie Hilton and wife Teecie of Amarillo.
