Thelma Shaw

Thelma Leona Shaw, 84, died Thursday, September 24, 2009 in Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at White Deer Cemetery with pastor Steve Huckins, son-in-law and pastor of In The Garden Ministries of Skellytown. Arrangements are under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Mrs. Shaw was born on October 9, 1924 in Plymouth, Kansas and had been a Skellytown resident since January 19, 1990, moving from White Deer. Thelma married John Shaw on September 22, 1947 in Globe, Arizona. He preceded her in death on July 9, 2002, and she was also preceded in death by one son and four brothers. She was a seamstress and member of In The Garden Ministries. Her kids and grandkids were her passion. She loved her patio, flowers and her dogs. PHer survivors include one son - Billy Shaw and wife Diana of Amarillo, three daughters - Gail Lindsey and husband Charlie of Waxahachie, TX, Sandra Kay Shaw and Sheryl Huckins and husband Steve all of Skellytown, two grandsons, five granddaughters, fourteen great-grandchildren, three great-great grandsons and many step-grandchildren.
