Theresa Jackson

Theresa O. Jackson, 92, passed away Monday, January 22, 2018.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Borger. Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. The rosary will be recited beginning at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers her memory may be honored with a gift to Shriners Hospital for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, Florida, 33607-1460.

Theresa was born August 30, 1925 in Brinkley, Arkansas to John Leo Wiesle and Elizabeth Duerling Wiesle. She married Robert Filmore Jackson on January 13, 1945 in Pryor, Oklahoma. Theresa was baptized at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Brinkley, Arkansas. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, cooking, sewing, couponing and going to garage sales. Theresa always had a heart for animals especially her dogs. Nothing brought more joy to her life than her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Filmore Jackson; son, Robert "Bob" F. Jackson, Jr.; brothers, Tommy Wiesle, John Wiesle, Jr.; and sisters, Mary Anne Wiesle-Reed, and Kaye Miles.

Survivors include son, Reggie Jackson of Fritch; daughter, Terri Jackson of Chicago; daughter-in-law, Pat Jackson of Wichita, Kansas; three grandchildren, Leigh Jackson and husband Kevin Moore, Ian Jackson, and Keir Jackson and wife Dinusha; brothers, Joe Wiesle, Clarence Wiesle and wife Peggy of Brinkley, Arkansas; sisters, Angie Hinton of Brinkley, Arkansas, Polly Wollcott of St. Louis, Missouri; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Accolade Home Health and Accolade Hospice.
