Thomas Guthrie

February 16, 2011, Thomas Guthrie made his final journey to meet the Lord, surrounded by his loving wife of 23 years, family, church family and close friends.

He was a retired security officer, but first and foremost, he was an American soldier and a Soldier for Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Darena Guthrie of the home, his sons Tom Guthrie of Pennsylvania, Mitch Guthrie and family of Washington, Danny ODell and family of Fritch, Billy Don ODell of Missouri and daughter Leslie of Midland, nine grandchildren, four greatgrandchildren and a host of loyal friends.

He was a member of the Broadway Baptist Church.

Memorial services will be Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Broadway Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Browning, Pastor officiating. Cremation was under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.

Tom was a songwriter and entertainermusician. His favorite hobby was playing and singing for his family and friends. Tom has played in several states and in a few different countries.

We would like to give a special thanks to Hospice Care of the Southwest, especially with a special recognition to Deanya Lillard for her going above and beyond in her care.
