Timothy Joel Calvin, 53, of Fritch, died Thursday, July 26, 2012.

A memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 25, 2012 at the Minton Memorial Chapel with his brother Mark Calvin of Garden City, Kansas officiating. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.

Tim was born August 25, 1958 to Virgil A and Margaret J Jernagen Calvin in Clovis, New Mexico. He was a Fritch resident for the past seven years. Tim loved watching movies, going to the car races in Amarillo, and tinkering and repairing all kinds of things.

Tim is survived by his wife Sherry Purdy of the home stepson Jeffory James Purdy of Fritch three brothers Ronald Calvin of Bradenton, Florida, Donald Calvin of Round Rock, Texas, Mark Calvin of Garden City, Kansas five sisters Robia Rice and Roberta Mitchell both of Stinnett, Texas, Ruth CalvinBoothe of Westcliffe, Colorado, Cindy Mitchell of Oklahoma City, Doris Massey of Dallas, and several nieces and nephews.
