Timothy Garcia

Timothy Jacob Garcia, 47, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2021.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 am on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at St. John Catholic Church with Fr. James M. Schmitmeyer officiating.  Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.  Masks are required.  The Rosary will be recited beginning at 6 pm on Friday, January 22, 2021 in the Minton Memorial Chapel.   In lieu of flowers his memory may be honored with a gift to St. John Catholic Church, 201 St. John’s Rd, Borger, Texas 79007.

Timmy was born August 28, 1973 in Plainview, Texas to Guadalupe Garcia and Mary Ann Rocha Garcia.  He married his high school sweetheart, the love of his life, Scottie Calhoun, on June 10, 1995 in Borger.  Timmy was a devoted and active member at St. John Catholic Church.  He enjoyed playing golf, fishing, camping, being on the boat, grilling, cooking and watching Dallas Cowboy football.  Nothing brought more joy to his life than his family.  He loved spending time with them whether it be family dinners, parties or any reason to get together.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ann Garcia.

Survivors include his wife, Scottie of Borger; son, Timothy Jacob Garcia of Borger; daughter, Hannah Gayle Garcia of Borger; one granddaughter due to arrive in June, Bea Michelle Garcia; father, Lupe Garcia of Borger; brothers, Guy Garcia, Chris Garcia and wife Mary, Steve Garcia and wife Kim, Jamie Garcia and Dana Rodriguez; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family.
