Tom Tyler

Tom Tyler, 73, of Panhandle died Sunday, September 28, 2008 in Claude. Services will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church in Panhandle with Rev. Joe Zimmerman, Pastor officiating. Interment will follow at Panhandle Cemetery under the direction of Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors.

Tom was born November 18, 1934 in Quanah, TX and was a Farmer and Rancher and worked for Dauer Herefords. He has been a resident of Panhandle since 1955 and was a member of the 1st Baptist Church. Tom loved cowboying, helping people, being a mechanic, he loved spending time with his family and he loved to talk. He married Phyllis Dickey on July 12, 1975 in Panhandle.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents Earl Lee and Dulce Tyler.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Ann Tyler, his son Taff Wayne Tyler and wife Stephanie of Gruver, his 2 daughters Darla Jo Paquette and husband Dennis of Claude and Donna Sue Hatfield and husband Roger of Claude, one sister Mary Lee Gabriele of Raton, NM. He is also survived by his six grandchildren Angela Mae Paquette, Dustin Alan Chambliss, Roger Shawn Hatfield, Russell Wayne Hatfield, Alexes Ali Marie Tyler and Tate Wayne Tyler and 8 Great-Grandchildren.
