Tomas Piedra

Tomas Deleon Piedra, Sr., 82, passed from this life July 19, 2022 in Amarillo. Funeral service will be Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 2 p.m. in Minton Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Tomas was born February 12, 1940 in Christine, TX to Francisco Hernandez Piedra and Antonia Delgado Deleon Piedra. He came to Borger in 1980 and was a Truck Driver and Farmer.  He was a member of La Roca Apostolica Church and his greatest lesson was changing from what he used to be to just serving God. He loved playing baseball, going fishing, dancing, gardening, and sitting on the front porch playing his accordion.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Corina Leal Piedra, son Jimmy Leal Piedra, Brothers Valentino Piedra and Juan Piedra and sisters Juanita Piedra and Lupe Cardona.

Thomas is survived by his sons Tomas Piedra, Jr. and his wife Martha of Borger, Tony Piedra and his wife Connie of Borger and Michael Piedra and his wife Tina of Amarillo, his daughters Angie Juarez and her husband Abel, Gloria Piedra and her husband Gregorio,  Alice Piedra and her husband Jerry and Lucy Piedra all of Borger, twenty-nine grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, his sister Maria Leal of Morton, TX  and one God Daughter.
