Tommy Massengale

Tommy “Slick” Eugene Massengale, (67), passed away on Dec. 25, 2022, after a long battle with cancer. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Thursday, December 29, 2022, at Celebration Family Church in Fritch. There will be a visitation at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Cremation is under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Tommy was born to Eugene and Phyllis Massengale, on June 11, 1955, in Bartlesville, OK; shortly after, they moved to Borger, TX where he attended high school at Phillips.  Tommy enlisted in the Army in 1973 and was honorably discharged in 1978.  Tommy married Tina Bryan on September 8, 1975, and had 3 children: Billy, Krissy, and CW.

Tommy is preceded in death by his parents Eugene & Phyllis; brothers, Robert Massengale & Tony Ackors.

He is survived by his wife, Tina Massengale; son, Billy Massengale; daughter, Krissy Massengale; son, CW Massengale & wife Denean; siblings; Lynn & Robert Lanham of Panhandle, TX, Bill Ackors of Amarillo, TX, Teena Gravelle of Raymond, WA, Kim Rutherford & Steve of Amarillo, TX; 8 grandchildren, Sierra O’Brien & husband Chase, Cody Thomas & wife Kassie, Carley Thomas, Caley Massengale, Ciley Massengale and Scyrena Massengale and 1 great grandchild Ja’Kai Massengale-Smith.
