Tony Manzella, 19, of Fritch, died Monday, January 23, 2012 in Borger.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, January 27, 2012 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Borger with Rev. Don Poole of Saint Johns Lutheran Church in Dumas officiating, and Rev. Steve Misch, Mission Ministry Facilitator assisting. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Tony will be available for viewing Wednesday at the funeral home in Borger.
Tony was born October 29, 1992 in Hays, Kansas, and was an electrician apprentice with B G Electric. He lived in Fritch since 1999, and was a resident of Dumas prior to that. Tony was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, and loved to fish, hunt, and being outdoors. He was very proud of being a SanfordFritch Eagle, where he played baseball, football, and basketball. Tony lived life to the fullest, and loved his brothers and sister. If you were his friend, he was your friend for life. Tony always cheered for the underdog, and had a huge heart.
Survivors include his parents Lisa and Gary Sparks of Fritch two brothers Caleb Manzella of Fritch, Daniel Manzella of Macon, Georgia his sister Chelsea Sparks of Fritch Grandparents, Loren and Greta Thiele of Bella Vista, Arkansas grandpa, Gary E. Sparks Sr. of Fritch uncles, Eric Thiele of Overland Park, Kansas, Evan and Veronica Thiele of Jos, Nigeria, Africa his aunt Priscilla and Reed Gamble of Azle, and several cousins.
Tony Manzella is preceded in death by his grandmother Diana Elliot Sparks.
