Tressie Lou Ketchum, 83, died peacefully Monday, April 18, 2011, at her home in Borger, lovingly surrounded by all of her children.
Services will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday at Conway Community Church in Panhandle with her son Clyde officiating, and Rev. Leonard Forsythe of Bible Baptist church in Borger assisting. Burial will be at Panhandle Cemetery. Services are under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Tressie was born on March 10, 1928, in Emory, Texas, and has been a resident of the Texas panhandle since she was in grade school. She married Carl Ketchum in 1947 in Amarillo.
All who knew her loved her, and those who knew her the longest loved her the most. She was everybodys favorite. Tressie was preceded in death by her husband, Carl, and her brother, Jay Barker, of Bonham.
Mrs. Ketchum is survived by her son Clyde and wife Adelia of Pagosa Springs, Colorado daughter Carla McGee of Borger daughter Antha Martin and husband Dennis of Borger sister Antha Stephens of Houston sister Brownie Hanner of Baird eight grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
