Troy Schmitto

Troy Thirven Schmitto, 92, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2019.

Graveside services will be held at 1 pm on Friday, February 15, 2019 in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Troy was born April 1, 1926 in Electra, Texas to George Washington Schmitto and Clara Melissa Brown Schmitto. He proudly served in the United States Navy.
Troy retired from Phillips after 37 years of service. He enjoyed fishing and spent as much time as he could with a line in the water.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ruth Evelyn Schmitto; sisters, Gladys Corbell, Odell Wilkinson, Opal Leek; and brothers, Kenneth Schmitto and Cecil Schmitto.

Survivors include his sons, Kip Schmitto of Amarillo, Ricky Schmitto and wife Diane of Dallas, Jerry Schmitto and wife Patsy of Plano; grandchildren, Angie Turner and husband David, Danny Schmitto and wife Kayla, Nicholas Schmitto, Matthew Schmitto and wife Melanie; and one grandson, Leo Schmitto.
