Trudy Malone

Trudy Malone, 86, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 am Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.  The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at the funeral home.   In lieu of flowers, her memory may be honored with a gift to a charity of choice. 

Trudy was born April 15, 1937, in Carter, Oklahoma to Maskell Brown and Orene Brown. She married the love of her life, Edward Malone on January 13, 1957, at the First Assembly of God Church in Borger.  Trudy was a member of the Church of Christ at Borger.   She was an extremely hard worker and was very proud of obtaining her CDL at the age of 52 to be a school bus driver.   Trudy was the true definition of a servant’s heart, she thoroughly enjoyed taking homemade treats to people.   She was a gifted cook.  Nothing brought more joy to her life than being a faithful wife, a loving mother, and an ever-present grandmother and great grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Maskell and Orene Brown; husband, Edward Malone; son-in-law, Mikel Wellesley; and sisters, Nova Brown and Betty Bilbrey.

Survivors include her son, Eddie Malone and wife Deanna of Borger; daughter, Janet Wellesley of Borger; grandchildren, Melanie Bugg, Megan Malone, Nikki Hemphill, Shane Wellesley and wife Emily; and great-grandchildren, Brenna Bugg, Bryton, Tyler and Makenna Hemphill; brother, Ron Brown and wife Mary of Owasso, Oklahoma; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family.
