Truman Jordan

October 26, 1935 — April 28, 2017

Truman Adolphus Jordan was born on October 26, 1935, and parted this life on April 28, 2017. Truman was born in Deer Creek, Texas to Dan and Daisy Josephine Jordan. Truman was preceded in death by his Wife, Ada Jordan, a Son, Scott Jordan, Truman's Parents, Dan and Daisy Jordan and three Brothers, Loomis Jordan, Dan Jordan and Coy Jordan. Truman has one living Brother, Dave Jordan of Henrietta, Texas.

Truman worked for 54 years at the Pantex Plant in Amarillo, Texas. He was in Quality Engineering for a few years but mainly was a journeyman carpenter. At Pantex, his nickname was "Pal", which everyone in Panhandle and his friends often called him. As a young man, and while at Pantex, he had a construction business building new homes and home remodels. He built his current home in 1974. Through his many construction projects, he left his mark on the Texas Panhandle.

He was married to Ada Jordan, who passed this life on December 15, 2016. They were married for 61 years. Truman and Ada had three kids, Gary, Scott and Glea. Scott, his middle son, passed this life in February of 2008. Truman and Ada had 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Truman was a great Husband, Father and Grandfather. No matter what he was doing, when the grandkids came over - his entire attention was focused on them. He was also a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan. Truman and Ada's Children would be by Truman's side watching those Cowboys games.

One treasured memory Truman and Ada's children have was listening to their Daddy playing his guitar and singing Elvis Presley songs, Johnny Cash and Meryl Haggard. Ada would be playing the piano and singing/harmonizing with Dad. These were good family times.

The world lost a kind and gentle soul on April 28, 2017, but heaven gained another carpenter to ornate our heavenly mansions.
