Tyler Shopteese

Anthony Weldon Tyler Shopteese, 16, passed away on November 3, 2019. A Celebration of his Life will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Grace Church. Cremation is under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Tyler was born January 16, 2003 in Borger to Anthony Eric Shopteese and Elizabeth Kesterson. He was a lifetime resident of Borger and was a Junior at Borger High School where he was inducted into the National Honor Society and was in the Top Ten of his class. Tyler loved to play the guitar, listening to music and skateboarding.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Carmen Shopteese, his grandfather Joe Kesterson, his grandparents Barbara and Lawrence Vaden, and his great grandparents Bud and Joyce Haynes.

Tyler is survived by his parents Eric and Leigh Shopteese of Borger, his mother Elizabeth Kesterson of Amarillo, his brothers Alex Shopteese and Zackery Barbour both of Borger, his sisters Lauren Barrett of Dalhart, Brittany Barrett of Borger and Keston Sperry of Turkey, TX, his grandfather Frank Shopteese of Mayetta, KS and his grandmother Kay Kesterson of Amarillo, his uncle, Brandon Shopteese and his aunt, Amber Shopteese and their children, Shyla, Stormy, Star, and Chase.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Anthony Tyler Shopteese Memorial Scholarship Fund, Borger ISD Business Office, P. O. Box 1177, Borger, TX 79008.
