Verna Beth Clark

Verna Beth Clark, 77, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2023.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Thursday, August 31, 2023, in the Minton Memorial Chapel with Pastor Shelby Deatherage officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.  Pallbearers will be Justin Clark, Garrett Clark, Brian Monden, Schad Monden, Rusty Hopkins and Brandon Hopkins.

Verna was born November 27, 1945, in Beaver, Oklahoma.  She married Melvin Clark on June 1, 1963.  Verna worked as a cafeteria lady at Borger ISD.  She enjoyed reading, cooking, collecting treasures, and traveling when she was able.  You could always count on the Hallmark Channel or Lifetime Movies to be on her television.  Nothing brought more joy to her life than visiting with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernie Iverson and Helen Iverson Branham; husband, Melvin; daughter, Kim Wilkinson; grandson, Zach Wilkinson; brother, Pete Iverson; and sisters, Georgia Francis, Lynn Pruitt, Ernadene Battigg, Pamela Smith, and Sandy Riddling.

Survivors include her son, Justin Clark; grandchildren, Garrett Clark and fiancé Stevie, Natalie Clark, Caleb Wilkinson; granddaughter-in-law, Kimberly Wilkinson; great grandchildren, Jakoby, Katelyn, Maisie; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family.
