Vernon Reining

Vernon A. Reining, 87 of Panhandle died Thursday June 7th in Amarillo. Rosary will be read at 7:00 pm Sunday at St. Theresa Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be Monday June 11th at St. Theresa Catholic Church with Father Mieczyslaw Przepiora officiating. Burial will be in Panhandle Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle.

Vernon was born October 13, 1924 at Lawrence, Kansas to Gerheard and Elizabeth Reining. He married Rose Marie Haiduk March 31, 1948 at Panhandle. He was a farmer and a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, children Mary Katherine, James Daniels, Mary Ann and Joan Carroll.

Survivors include his wife of Panhandle. Sons Richard, Gary, Robert, Howard and Patrick all of Panhandle. Daughters Marie Elliot, Dorothy Mann, Margaret Reining, Betty Brumley, Josephine Wilcox all of Amarillo, Janice Freeman of Panhandle and Monica Greenwood of Burlingame, Kansas. Sister in Law Carol Reining of Amarillo. Twent eight grandchildren and twentyone great grandchildren.
