Victor Rodriguez

Victor Rodriguez, 88, passed away Monday, July 3, 2023.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am on Friday, July 7, 2023, at St. John Catholic Church with Father Shane Wieck officiating.   The Rosary will be recited beginning at 5 pm on Thursday, July 6, 2023, in the Minton Memorial Chapel.  Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Victor was born January 5, 1935, in Mexico.  He married Maria del Socorro in 1959.  Victor worked as a handy man doing mainly construction, he was a jack of all trades.  He enjoyed playing cards, listening to music, tending to his vegetable garden, and socializing.  Victor had an outgoing personality and enjoyed being with his family, especially dressing up with them for Halloween.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Teresa Rodriguez and Abel Ramos; sons, Juan Rodriguez, Jesus Rodriguez, Rafael Rodriguez; granddaughter, Andrea Gonsalez; brothers, Porfirio Ramos, Cayetano Ramos; and sisters, Bertha Ramos, Martha Perez, and Mercedes Rodriguez.

Survivors include his wife, Socorro of Mexico; son, Victor Rodriguez and wife Amalia of Mexico; daughters, Teresa Driedger and husband Cornelius of Fritch, Martha Martinez and husband Javier of Borger, Laura Rodriguez and husband Jesus Rascon of Mexico, Guadelupe Gonzales and husband Martin of Mexico, Lizeth Rodriguez of Mexico,  Socorro Rodriguez and husband Manuel Rios of Borger; daughter-in-law, Eustola Rodriguez; grandchildren, Karla Rodriguez, Cinthia Rodriguez, Hugo Rodriguez and wife Claudia, Sujey Rodriguez and husband Jose Ramos, Bianca Ponce, Isabel Driedger, Jenifehr Reyna, Oscar Driedger, Maclen Martinez and wife Gabriela Martinez, Myrna Botello and husband Arturo Botello, Sonia Rodriguez, Nubia Rodriguez, Rafael Rodriguez, April Rodriguez, Marco Rascon, Randy Gonsalez, Camila Gonsalez Sofia Rodriguez, Dante Enriquez, Layre Rodriguez, Valeria Rios, Brisa Rios; great grandchildren, Ian Daniel Rodriguez, Roberto Rodriguez, Paolo Rodriguez, Evelyn Rodriguez, Jorge Rodriguez, Enrique Rodriguez, Alison Rodriguez, Santiago Rodriguez, Jacquelin Ponce, Niko Ponce, Noah Ponce, Alexia Reyna, Yvianna Triana, Alyssa Reyna, Joseph Reyna, Olivia Reyna, Nia Miller, Nova Miller, Gabriel Botello, Natalia Botello; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family.
