Viola Brooks

Frances Brooks, 63, died Monday, September 7, 2009 in Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Highland Park Cemetery with Rev. Leonard Forstythe, Pastor Bible Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mrs. Brooks was born on January 23, 1946 in Blackwell, Oklahoma and had been a Borger resident for 50 years. She was a homemaker. Frances made beautiful cakes and loved to crochet, loved everybody and loved to help.

She was preceded in death by her father, Neal Jones, and brother Charles Jones. Survivors include her mother - Martha Stout of Kingfisher, OK, two sons - Tony Brooks of Borger, Bryan Brooks and wife Debbie of Amarillo, daughter - Kimberlee McMahan and husband Mike of Stinnett, brothers- David Jones of Kingfisher, three grandchildren - Cody Brooks, Shadrick Jackson and Tanner McIntyre and one great-grandchild - Tyler Brooks, and she raised lots of step-grandkids and great-grandkids.
