Virginia Edith Farrell, 95, of Panhandle died February 14, 2018 in Borger. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at Calvary Baptist Church with Dr. Jerry Lane officiating. Interment will follow at Panhandle Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle.
Virginia was born April 18, 1922 in Miami, TX to Clem Carl Geuther and Grace Maude Bosler Geuther. She has lived in Panhandle since 1943 and was a Deaconess at the First Christian Church and served on the Board. Many former Panhandle students will remember her cinnamon rolls and biscuits from the school cafeteria where she was supervisor and chief cook for many years. She also had the White Kitchen Restaurant with her husband, Johnny. Before that she was a telephone operator at the Amarillo Air Force Base. Virginia was a charter member of the Panhandle Country Club and was past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star. She loved to paint, knit, sew, needle point and she and Johnny loved to Square Dance all over the Panhandle.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter Annette Jeffries, her two sisters Betty Pingleton and Emma Jean Geuther, her two nephews Larry and Terry Pingelton.
She is survived by her son Danny Farrell of Panhandle and her nephew Ronnie Pingelton of Alva, OK and three grandchildren.
