Virginia Ferguson

Virginia Lee Ferguson, 76, passed away Monday, July 28, 2014.

Funeral service will be held 2 pm Thursday at Bible Baptist Church, Rev. Leonard Forsythe, officiating. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. The family will receive friends 57 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers her memory may be honored with a gift to the Don Sybil Harrington Cancer Foundation to assist hospice or cancer patients being treated at BSA, 1500 Wallace Boulevard Amarillo, TX 79106.

Virginia was born March 16, 1938 in Borger to Alford and Grace Swaffar. She married Thomas Ferguson on July 3, 1953 in Clovis, New Mexico. Virginia enjoyed bowling, garage sales, but nothing put a joy in her heart like doting on her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents husband, Thomas Neil Ferguson daughter, LaWanda McWIlliams son, Rodney Bruce Ferguson granddaughter, Amie Kuykendall sisters, Wanda Darlene Wolfe and Billie M. Tucker.

Survivors include her sons, Tommy Ferguson and his wife, Phyllis of Amarillo, Roy Ferguson of Lubbock stepfather, H.H. Barrett of Borger soninlaw, Kendell McWilliams and his wife, Anita of Borger six grandchildren, Eric Ferguson and his wife, Erika, Caleb Ferguson and his wife, Ashley, Aaron Ferguson, Keith McWilliams and his wife, Lauren, Seth McWilliams, Kacie Glass nine great grandchildren and one on the way.
