Virginia Gaynell McWilliams

Virginia Gaynell McWilliams, 94, passed away Saturday, October 14, 2023.

Graveside services will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.  The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at the funeral home.

Virginia was born October 2, 1929, in Yuba, Oklahoma to Barney Achimon and Effie Todd Achimon.  She married Saint Elmo “S.E.” McWilliams on May 21, 1946, in Borger.  She worked as an LVN for many years at hospitals in both Borger and Pampa.  Virginia enjoyed reading and working crosswords.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Barney and Effie Achimon; husband, Saint Elmo “S.E.” McWilliams; three brothers; and two sisters.

Survivors include her sons, Mike McWilliams of Fritch; Donald Gene McWilliams and wife Glenda of Claude; daughter, Cheryl Shirley of Borger; seven grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; seventeen great-great grandchildren; three great-great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family.
