W.C. Dub Leonard, 74, of Sanford passed away Friday November, 7, 2008 in Borger. Funeral Services will be 2p.m. Tuesday at the Minton Memorial Chapel with Pastor Bruce Ridling of Borger Missionary Baptist officiating.
Dub was born July 8, 1934 in Allison to Burney and Dovie Leonard. On December 19, 1958 he married Mary Lou East in Borger. Dub was in the United States Army and had been a Sanford resident for seven years. Prior to living in Sanford he lived in Borger for 25 years. He was a laborer for Sid Richardson Carbon Company for 14 years and was also a preacher. Dub loved his church; Borger Missionary Baptist, fishing, wood working, talking to people, and was a member of the Stroke club.
Survivors include his daughter Lee Phillips and husband Charlie of Stinnett; brother in law Bill East of Borger; 5 grandchildren Tasha and Shana Leonard, Ashley, Tori, and Wesley White; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his wife February 20, 2006; son Burney February 16, 2002; granddaughter Sonya Leonard October 17, 1997; and daughter in law Sherry Leonard Phillips November 4, 2007.
Family will be at 1208 Greenough St. in Sinnett.
