Wayne O. Shelton, 84, died Tuesday, October 2nd, 2007 in Amarillo, Texas.BRBRServices will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Minton Memorial Chapel with Father Guillermo Morales, Pastor of St. John's Catholic Church officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Garden at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.BRBRMr. Shelton was born on August 23, 1923 in Larned, Kansas and had been a Borger resident for 42 years. He served in the US Army Air Force during WW II and was an operator for J.M. Huber Corp. for 29 yerars. He married Gladys Smith on July 21, 1953 in Larned, Kansas, and she preceded him in death in 2002. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and the American Legion. He was preceded in death by four brotheres and one sister.BRBRHe is survived by three sons - Guy Shelton of Borger, Bill Shelton and wife Teresa of Hazlett, Tx., Randy Shelton of Amarillo, four brothers - Marvin Shelton, Floyd Shelton, Art Shelton and Donnie Shelton and five grandchildren - Mandy Shelton, Bradley Shelton, Erin Shelton, Brandon Shelton, and Jennifer Shelton and two great-grandchildren - James Emily.
