Wayne Winks

Wayne Winks, 64, of Borger, died Sunday, August 12, 2012 in Borger.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at Westlawn Memorial Park with Jake Minton of Borger officiating. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Earl Wayne Winks Jr. III was born February 7, 1948 to Earl Wayne Winks Jr. and Lottie Souders Winks in Mountain View, Missouri. He was a Baptist, and longtime resident of Borger. Wayne worked in the oilfield for most of his life and loved his grandkids, drawing, nascar, music, and watching all kinds of sports.

Survivors include his mother Lottie Parker of Borger three sons Gary Winks and wife Elizabeth of Borger, Mickey and Budy Winks, both of Amarillo daughter Holly Davis of Borger stepdaughters Terri Hysmith and Denise Jones, both of Borger three sisters Deborah Quezada of Amarillo, Kay West of Fritch, Penny Helms of Bangs, Texas stepsister Susan Poole and husband Steven of Spearman stepbrothers Larry Parker and wife Donna of Borger, Terry Parker and wife Ruth of Austin, and four grandchildren.

Wayne is preceded in death by his father Earl Wayne Winks Jr. and stepfather Clarence Parker.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Crown of Texas Foundation for Hospice Care of the Southwest 6600 Kilgore Dr. Amarillo, Texas 79106.
