Weldon Nail

Weldon Eugene Nail, 65, passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2014.

Funeral service will be 10 am Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Fritch Church of Christ. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, January 8, 2014 from 68 pm.

Weldon was born June 17, 1948 in Childress to Lois LaWanda and Clayton Sanford Nail. He proudly served eight years in the United States Army. Weldon worked for the Fort Worth and Denver Railroad. He loved to run heavy equipment currently working for Rice Construction where he was a dirt foreman. He enjoyed his career as a dirt foreman. Weldon enjoyed spending time with his family and was a loving husband, father and grandfather. The biggest loves of his life were his children and two grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents brother, Randall Nail and sister, Wanda Joy Timmons.

Survivors include his wife, Betty of the home son, Clayton Nail and his wife, Shanna of Amarillo daughter, Hilda Williams and her husband, Shad of Fritch two grandchildren, Kailey and Koby Williams brothers, Wayne Nail and his wife, Mary of Borger, Alton Nail of Childress, Christopher Doty of Pottsboro, Texas sisters, Rhonda Nail of Childress, and Barbara Nail of Wichita Falls.
