Wesley Wayne Wood, 41, died Monday, June 16, 2008 in Borger, Texas

Services will be at 11:00 a.m Thursday at the First Baptist Church in Panhandle with Wib Newton officiating. Interment will be in Panhandle Cemetery under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle.

Wesley was born on November 20, 1966 in Memphis, Texas to Joe Mackie Wood. He had lived in Fritch for four years, moving here from Panhandle. He was a teachercoach for Stratford ISD, and was a member of the Amarillo South Body of Christ. He married Theresa Saenz on March 11, 1994 in Amarillo. He enjoyed fishing, sports, coaching his son, cooking, and loving his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

He is survived by his wife, Theresa Wood of the home in Fritch, son - Seth Wesley Wood of the home, daughter - Mackalyn Wood of the home, parents - Joe Mackie Wood of Panhandle, two brothers - Jody Wood wife, LeaAnn of Panhandle, Bucky Wood and wife Amy of Granbury, Tx., sister - Meredith Lermon and husband Charles of Panhandle, father mother-in-law - Mike Olga Saenz of Orange Grove, TX, brother-in-law - Mike Saenz III of Corpus Christi, Tx., two sisters-in-law - Sandra Rice husband Kevin of Rowlett, Tx., Carolyn Lopez husband Ruben of Orange Grove, TX, four nieces and eight nephews.

Casket bearers will be Hank Jameson, Cliff Barkley, Craig Cooper, Derek Heck, Tommy Marshall, Justin Whatley, Steve Land, Tick Shadid, Adam Mannis, and Jason Roselius.

The family will be staying at 1301 Park St. in Panhandle.
