William Gersch Jr.

Willam Charles Gersch Jr., 80 of Panhandle went to be with the Lord Thursday July 5, 2007 in Panhandle.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday at First United Methodist Church in Panhandle with Re. Bud Kidwell, pastor officiating. Burial will be in the Panhandle Cemetery under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle. Visitation will be one hour before service time at First United Methodist Church.

Bill was born February 6, 1927 at Dallas, Texas. He graduated from Texas AM University with a Master Degree. He served in the US Coast Gaurd durring WWII. On Oct. 1, 1950 he married Ruby June Vance in Panhnadle. She preceded him in death in 2004 and a son Roger 2006. He sang in the church choir where he was a member of the First United methodist Church of Panhandle. Bill also golfed, flew airplanes and played the piano.

He is survived by his Son Barry and wife Elizabeth Gersch of Panhandle. Grand Daughters Crystal Crocker of Ironton, MO. Kristi Smith of Dallas, Tx, and Kelly Gersch of St. Louis, MO. Great Grand Daughters Kaylan Crocker of Ironton, Mo, Logan Smith and Kohner Smith both of Dallas, Tx.
