W. C. Claude Jenkins, 89, of Fritch passed away Saturday July 23 at his home. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Tuesday July 26th at Fritch Church of Christ with Mr. Richard Kasko, Minister officiating. Interment will be at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.
Claude was born Jan. 5, 1922 at Flippin, Arkansas to Roscoe and Goldie George Jenkins. He graduated from Wetumka Oklahoma High School. He served in the US Navy during WWII as an Aviation Machinest Mate 2nd Class. He married Audie Mae Hicks Sept. 14, 1946 at the 2nd and Deahl Church of Christ in Borger
Jenks retired from Phillips Petroleum Co. where he was an Electrician at the Refinery and then a Mechanic at the Philtex Plant from 1947 until 1984. Mr. Jenkins had lived in the Borger and Fritch area since 1946 and was a member of the Fritch Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister and a son Randy Jenkins.
He is survived by his wife Mae of the home. Son Allen and wife Karla Jenkins of Borger. Daughter Patsy and husband Rocky Harbin of Fritch. Six grandchildren Travis Harbin and wife Kelly, Danny Harbin and wife Kimi, Greg Jenkins and wife Kelly, Melissa Jenkins, George Jenkins and wife Jessica and Wendy Tjepkes and husband Delwyn and fourteen great grandchildren.
