William Yake

William Bill Miles Yake, 78, died Wednesday, December 29, 2010 in Borger.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 31st, at the First Baptist Church in Stinnett with Rev. Orville Rogers, officiating. Interment will be in Stinnett Cemetery under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mr. Yake was born on March 22, 1932 in Borger to Henry Mary Yake. He was a rancher for 63 years. He married Betty Jo Milum on December 21, 1953. He was a PFC in the US Army from 1957 to 1959 and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Stinnett. He enjoyed fishing and boating, and loved his horses, kids and family. He was preceded in death by his parents Henry Mary Yake, and brother Bud Yake.

He is survived by his wife Betty Yake of the Home, son Jodie Yake of Dallas, daughter Michelle Ivy and husband Robert of Stinnett, daughterinlaw Valerie Yake of Houston, brother I. C. Cal Runt Yake of Stinnett, four sisters Mary E. Gentry of Hereford, Louise Sanders, Margie Lewis and Marsha Stout all of Stinnett, two grandchildren Robert Cap Ivey and Austin Ivey and numerous nieces and nephews.
