Willie Hampton, Jr.

W. A. Hampton, Jr., 85, died Monday, March 29, 2010 in Fritch

Graveside services will be at 3:00 p.m. Thursday at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa with Mr. Richard Kasko, Minister of Fritch Church of Christ officiating. Interment is under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.

Mr. Hampton was born on May 27, 1924 in Ft. Worth, TX. He served in the US Army during WW II. He was a mainline Engineer in the Crude Oil Department for Phillips Petroleum Co. for 39 years. W.A. married Eilene Powers on May 10, 1947 in Phillips. They moved from Phillips to Fritch in 1986.

He is survived by his wife Eilene Hampton of the home, son Jerry Hampton of Amarillo, daughter Linda Walker and husband Paul of Granbury, four grandchildren, six greatgrandchildren and two greatgreat grandchildren.

There will be a visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the Funeral Home in Fritch.
