Wilma Chester

Wilma Platt Chester, 88, died Sunday, November 28, 2010 in Amarillo.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Minton Memorial Chapel with Jake Minton officiating. Interment will be in The Garden of Beatitudes at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mrs. Chester was born on December 30, 1921 in Cleveland, Arkansas to Garnet Oma Jane Berry. She had been a Borger resident since April, 1950. She was a homemaker and member of Gateway Baptist Church. She loved to read, crochet and walk. She was preceded in death by her son Wayne B. Platt and two husbands John A. Platt and Ernest P. Chester.

Mrs. Chester is survived by her daughter Jane Criswell of Amarillo, two stepsons Ricky Chester of Oklahoma City, OK, Boyd Chester of Borger, TX, sister Connie Lilma Bankster of Casa, AK, three grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren and her special friend Roy Johnson of Borger.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Viet Nam Veterans of American, Borger Chapter 404, PO Box 34, Fritch, TX 79036
