Wilma Washburn

Wilma Jean Washburn, 73, died Saturday, April 21st. in Borger. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Wayside Community Cemetery in Wayside, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Mrs. Washburn was born Oct. 8, 1933 in Mountainburg, Arkansas and had been an area resident for 40 years. Mrs. Washburn was a homemaker and a Baptist. She married Rod Washburn Feb. 14, 1985, in Gruver. She was preceded in death by her husband on December 3, 2001, her parents, Louis Georgia Wakefield, and two sisters, Margaret Hooks and Betty Sheppard.BR Survivors include three sons - Randy L. Holland and wife Becky of Fritch, Randy Washburn and wife Linda of Gruver, and Roy Don Washburn; three daughters - Sondra June Lancia of Prescott, Arizona, Mary Jane Holland of Borger, and Cherral Ann Dunlap and husband Don of Amarillo; one sister, Mary Spraggins of Menifee, California; eight grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. BR Family will be staying at 307 Folsom St. in Fritch.
