Wilmetta Alexander, 92, went home to be with the Lord Christmas Day. She had resided with her son, Richard since 2004.BRBRGraveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Westlawn Memorial Park with her son, Richard Alexander officiating. Interment will be in The Garden of Devotion at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.BRBRMrs. Alexander was born July 6, 1915 to the late George Collette Helmling of Casey, Illinois. She moved with her family to the struggling new city of Borger and graduated From Pampa High School and attended West Texas State College in Canyon. She was a resident of Fritch for 40 years where she met and married E. L. Sam Alexander in 1934. She served Altrusa International for twenty years and was active in the First Baptist Church in Fritch and Central Baptist Church in Athens. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1988 and sister, Juanita in 1943.BRBRShe is survived by her son Richard Alexander and wife Suzanne, three grandchildren - Allan, Andrew and Aaron and six great-grandchildren - Audrey, Amber, Megan, Andrew, Neill and Zachary.BRBRMemorials may be made to Altrusa International in Borger or to Gideon International.
