Winfred Keet Bickerstaff, 81 of Panhandle died Wednesday August 1st in Amarillo. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Saturday August 4th at First Baptist Church of Panhandle with Rev. Josh Light, pastor officiating and Jim Yates Interim Chaplin assisting. Burial will be at Panhandle Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
Keet was born December 30, 1930 at Lakeview, Texas to John S. and Allie Chandler Bickerstaff. He served in the U. S. Army and was a Panhandle resident for 57 years. He was member of the First Baptist Church of Panhandle. He loved to fish and paint and was a member of the Levis and Lace Square Dance Club. He was a Xray tech at Pantex before retiring.
Left in the caring hands of Jesus is his daughters Sharon Mangum and husband Rick of Amarillo, Kay McAdams and husband Steve of Stratford, Texas. Son Dayle Bickerstaff of Fritch, Texas. Sister Amy Wright of Panhandle. Four grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Preceding him into eternal life is his parents, brother Riley Zane and a sister Sandra Pregartner.
