Winnie Jean Williamson

Winnie Jean Williamson, 74, passed away December 15, 2024.

Cremation is under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors.

Winnie was born June 20, 1950, in Chariton, Iowa to Winfred Brooks Thrapp and Almeda Arlyn Todd Thrapp. She retired from Maytag after 30 plus years of service. Winnie enjoyed playing games on her phone and she had a kind and generous heart. She loved her pets fiercely. Nothing brought more joy to her life than her family, especially her grandkids.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Brooks and Almeda Thrapp; sister, Iris Eaves; daughter, Michelle Guthrie Etter; son, Thomas Shook; and special friend, Larry Hudson. 

Survivors include her sons, Charles “Buzz” Shook of Borger, Randy Williamson of Iowa; daughter, Linda Elam of Borger; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, Ivan Thrapp of Iowa; many nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family.
